Our little model...
Yesterday, April & Amy came to my parents house to take pictures of Avery. She did so great except for it being right in the middle of her nap time. I think April got some great pictures of her in several different poses. She was a natural little model...watch out world! I can not wait to see the pictures she got. Hope to post soon! Thanks, Twinty Photography!
Avery visits the Matthies Family
On Saturday, Zach and I attended the A&M Football game so we were fortunate to have great friends to watch Avery. Thanks Tracy and Wyatt! Tracy said she enjoyed every minute with her. Oh, and to top it off Avery was sent home with a handmade special from Tracy - - the cutest bib ever! I swear she needs to start selling these creations of hers. She is so talented! Love you, Tracy & Wyatt and thanks again for looking after our baby girl! She loves her "Aunt" Tracy & "Uncle" Wyatt!

Bath Time with Mommy
Avery loves taking baths. She just smiles and kicks the whole time. I love it! I even let the water run down her face and it does not bother her a bit. She is going to be our little swimmer one day!

Family comes to Visit!
This past weekend, Avery's MiMi, PaPaw, Great Grandma Dorothy and the crew from N. Carolina (Uncle Jeramy, Aunt Jenny, Cousins - Taylor & Finley) came to visit. This was the first time most of them met Avery. She enjoyed every minute of it!

My father taught me to work; he did not teach me to love it. - Abraham Lincoln
I am getting very sad just thinking about what I am going to write in this post....so here it goes! My 10 weeks of maternity leave is coming to an end. Today, was my last day with Avery before returning to work tomorrow. When I found out I was pregnant, I thought that going back to work after she was born was going to be a piece of cake, well I was sadly wrong. This is going to be harder than I ever imagined but it is something that must be done. I know a tremendous amount of tears will be shed and lots of phone calls will be made to make sure she is in good hands. Her first official day at daycare is not until Monday, so "Aunt" Carol Boeker has agreed to watch her the rest of this week to help Zach and I out. It is so great knowing that we have someone in San Antonio that is family and we trust immensely. So this week I am guessing will not be that bad considering she will be watching her at our house and I have known her all my life. I can almost guarantee that tomorrow around this time I will be exhausted and just want to get home to hug, kiss and squeeze my precious baby girl. I think I have told her a dozen times today that Mommy loves her and I will miss her when I am at work. She has no clue what I am talking about but it is making me feel a little better. So, everyone think about me tomorrow while I step foot back into the work force!!!

My 30th Birthday Celebration
As most of you know Zach planned the most incredible weekend for my 30th birthday and made the best invitations ever...we may start taking orders for custom invites! Thursday - Dinner with Friends in San Antonio, Friday - Dinner and partying in Austin, Saturday - the best tailgate ever and then game time! There were lots of surprises along the way. First off, Kristy, Bill and my nephews surprised me at midnight right when I turned 30! My Dad, Kristy, Bill, Luke & Kyle came in singing "Happy Birthday." Of course it slipped that they were coming, I just had no idea when that would be. The other surprise was Jesse & Dee...yeah! The came home from DC and I was able to celebrate my birthday with them and they got to see Avery for the first time! Well the weekend was wonderful and I must say the 30's are going to be amazing with all of my family & friends! Thank you for ringing in the 30's with me! Here are a few pics from the weekend....
