Jimmy aka Guard Dog

Everytime I put Avery down for a nap, Jimmy is right behind me settling in for his nap as well. He has found his new spot to nap, that is only when Avery is in their with him. So cute! He is so good with her.
Saturday Fun at Mere & JR's
Just a regular Saturday in the backyard at the Ketters. Avery enjoyed watching TV and talking on the couch. She sat there all by herself. She is getting so big! Zach and I enjoyed a few lemonades (wink, wink)!

WANTED: IPhone Thief!!!
I had been calling Zach all morning and wondered why he had not answered nor called me back....well little did I know! Someone stoled his iphone off of his desk at work! Who does this sort of thing? I can not believe it. I keep checking our account online to see if this certain someone has made any calls from it so I can be detective and try and catch the person red handed. I have not had any luck yet. Keep your fingers crossed that it comes up missing or the person decides to bring it back, which I doubt. If someone is playing a trick on him at work I would advise them to stop the joke now because Zach nor I think it is funny!
Counting Sheep...
Write it down in the books! Avery slept through the night! Last night our good friends Brian and Ashley came over for dinner and visit Avery. They left at around 10pm while Avery was taking her last bottle for the night. By 10:30pm, she was in bed counting sheep. The alarm goes off at 6am for Zach to get up for work, well this morning when the alarm went off we realized that she was still sleeping and had not woken up since we put her to bed. Zach left for work and I went back to sleep. At 6:30am the alarm went off again, since I forgot to turn it off before he left, and she finally woke up. The big question on my mind today is whether or not she would have slept longer if she would have not heard the loud alarm. Oh well, 8 hours is great! Let's just see how well she sleeps tonight...I am hoping for another good nights rest!

Nap Time
I am slowing starting to get Avery used to her crib. She has been sleeping in a bassinet in our room since she was born. Today, was her first nap in her crib. She did okay until she woke up and realized she was all alone in a room she is not too familiar with. I let her cry for a few minutes thinking she would go back to sleep but that did not happen. I really need to work on letting her fuss a little bit before picking her up and comforting her. I just can't stand to hear her cry and be upset. Pour little baby had tears!
Brenham Bound
This past weekend we took Avery on her first trip to Brenham. She is the best little traveler. We left the house thinking that she would wake up to eat in the middle of the trip but needless to say she did not wake up until we were getting into Burton. Which was great because our first stop was at the Mabry's house to meet little Garrett. So, we arrived there just in time to feed her and get some great pictures with her new little friend.
Garrett - 18 days
Avery - 1 month (31 days)
Avery: "Garrett come back, I want to hold your hand"
Tanna & I having our first beer "together" in nine months!
It was great being preggers with one of my best friends!
When we arrived at Mom & Dad's they were at the car before we could turn it off. They were so excited for us to be there, I mean they were so excited for Avery to be there. I am not sure they even told Zach & I hello. Nana & Popo spoiled Avery all weekend and loved every minute of it. Thanks Mom for helping us out with the early morning feedings.

On Saturday; Kellie, Mary & Jason came to meet Avery. That evening Zach and I had Mary and Jason's first couples wedding shower to attend and left Avery with my parents. Thank you Mom and Dad for taking care of little Avery - I am sure they loved every minute of it! It was a little hard being away from her but was needed. We had a lot of fun at the shower but it was definitely different knowing that we had a little one to go home to that night. The once all night partying couple went home at midnight and was one of the first ones to leave the party. Kind of unusual for us but we have a few more responsibilties these days.
Thank you, Kellie for my cute diva outfit with rhinestones!
Maryand Avery
On Sunday, Avery attended her first church service and was blessed at communion. She meet all of our church friends and even got to meet my Nanny Boeker. After church everyone (Aunt Jeannie & Uncle Donald, Aunt Joan & Uncle Homer, Ashley, Sam, Spencer & Oliver) came over for lunch to meet Avery. We can't wait until November when our new little cousin will arrive so Avery has a playmate.

Bald & Beautiful
Avery is officially going bald and will soon look like her Popo. She had a good amount of hair when she was born and now it is slowly starting to fall out. I came to this realization when I took her out of her car seat and her hair was stuck to the head support. It is so sad but I know she will soon get a whole head of beautiful (more than likely) brown hair. It may even be curly since Zach and I were blessed with naturally curly hair. I can't wait to see what she will look like with long beautiful hair.
I'm one month old!
It is hard to believe Avery is already a month old! It feels like we just brought her home from the hospital. She is growing everyday. By the reading on the scale, she weighs 8.5 lbs. That does not seem right but maybe. It is probably a little off since I held her on the scale with me and then subtracted my weight. Man, if this is true she is a big girl now and this could be the reason my arms are sore from holding her.
