Mirror, Mirror on the Wall....

Avery has officially discovered her mirror and absolutely loves to look at herself. I caught her in the act last week when I was at home with her and was able to get some pretty good pictures before she noticed me. She has been sick with RSV since last week but for the most part is in good spirits. Who wouldn't want to look at this cute little face in the mirror?

Happy 2010!

For New Years Eve, we traveled to Brenham to celebrate Tracy’s 30th Birthday. Her and Wyatt had a Bavarian Beer Garden party at The Sommerlatte’s house for her birthday. The night before the party I got crafty and made Avery her very first New Year’s Eve outfit. She looked so adorable in her flashy little tutu. The party was a lot of fun, very laid back, which was just what we needed for our first New Year’s with our little munchkin. Avery made until about 10:30pm and then she was out for the night. Zach and I rang in the New Year whispering to our sweet little girl while she slept.

2009 was an amazing year for the Inmans. We were blessed with a healthy, beautiful baby girl, who we adore. I cannot wait to see what 2010 has in store for us.

Happy Half Birthday, Avery!

It is very hard to believe that our baby girl is 6 months old already. My how time flies! This has been the best 6 months of our lives and cannot wait for what there is to come.

Avery,

Mommy and Daddy love you very much and cannot believe that you are already 6 months old. You have learned so many things since you were born. Tonight, Daddy, Mommy and you were cooking dinner and dancing in the kitchen to Country music. You love watching Mommy and Daddy dance. Soon you will be showing us some moves. You were sick n your half birthday and are starting to get better. I took you to the Doctor and you were diagnosed with RSV. You are doing breathing treatments every4 hours. You are such a big girl because you just sit there nicely while I place the mask on your face and you inhale the medicine. I hope and pray that you get better soon although you are still in great spirits, playing like always. What a doll. Happy half birthday baby!!!!!!

Love,

Mommy

Go Spurs Go! Go Spurs Go!

We took Avery to her first Spurs game on December 29th. She had fun looking at all the lights and hearing all the loud noises. We left during the 4th quarter because it was way past her bedtime but had a great time. It is very nice when we get great tickets from work and get to go to the game in ‘suite’ style.

More Christmas Pictures

Traveling West

On the 23rd, Zach, Avery, Jimmy and I loaded up the car and headed west. This was the first long road trip for Avery so we were a little worried at how long it was going to take us to get to Midland. She actually did not do too badly. We made it all the way to Ozona before we had to stop and by this time it was dark, cold and raining. We spent an hour in the parking lot at the Dairy Queen feeding and playing with her until we got back on the road. We arrived in Midland around 9:30, which was not too bad considering we left Cibolo at 3:00. When we arrived, Vickie taught Ashlee (Zach’s Cousin) and I how to crochet. We stayed up pretty late working on endless projects. Needless to say my hat is still not complete....help!

Twas the night before Christmas.

Zach, Avery and I went to the candlelight service at the Baptist Church with the Ketters (our new tradition). It was a very nice service complete with 2 baptisms. After church, we went to Grandma & Grandpa Hicks house to enjoy some tortilla soup the family tradition. The adults had an ornament exchange and the little ones received a few gifts. Avery loved opening her presents. Zach’s grandfather dresses up as Santa every year complete with the beard, which he starts growing in mid summer and cutes Christmas morning. Avery loved her first visit with Santa aka Great Grandpa HoHocomplete with no crying. I guess next year will be the real Santa’s lap test.

Christmas Day

In the morning we arose to the gifts from Santa placed nicely under the tree. Mimi gave Avery a couple of Christmas outfits to wear over the holidays, so she was all dressed up in her Christmas pj’s, complete with a bow!!! Can’t be in pictures without a bowduh! We opened presents most of the morning and then had the yummy traditional Christmas morning breakfast prepared by my MIL. Biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs with cheeseI am getting hungry just thinking about it! After breakfast we went back to Grandma & Grandpa Hicks to open presents and enjoy everyone’s company. I received a cute red purse, might I add which I stole from CallieI am sorry love! Avery received more presents as she was already spoiled at this point. Her Great Grandmother Ann made her a beautiful blanket. The rest of the day was spent lounging around the house. That evening the Inman crew came over for carne guisada, prepared by Zach and tortilla soup, prepared by Vickie. We had a white elephant gift exchange, which was a lot of fun.

All in all we had a pretty wonderful Christmas! Oh and I almost forgot we got our Taco Villa, Jumburrito & LaBodega fix several times!!!
