Watermelon....

Week 38 - 14 more days to go or sooner if we are lucky!!!

I go to the doctor on Thursday, so maybe she will tell me some good news about when our daughter will be born. A scheduled induction would be perfectly fine with me. Zach put together all the necessary things we will need to travel home with our little one from the hospital and things for when we arrive home with her, so I guess I really need to pack mine & her bag for the hospital and we will be set. Any advice on what I will need in those bags from any experienced Moms out there?

Can dogs sense pregnancy?

Our dog, Jimmy has always been my little follower. As soon as I get home, he usually greets me at the door and then shadows me everywhere. We have definitely seen some differences in Jimmy over the past few weeks/months, especially this weekend. I have been telling Zach that I think he senses there are changes ahead. Everytime I am sitting on the couch, he comes next to me and lays his head on my tummy. It's very apparent as to what is going on. He follows me everywhere, which is normal but he has been just standing and staring at me when I am just relaxing on the couch as well. He just can't relax and is constantly wanting attention from both Zach and I. I'm so excited to see how he will interact with Avery when she is here but worried that he will be jealous. He has always been really great around children...I suspect he will be her little protector. We will just have to make sure we show him the attention he needs once she arrives.

"One shoe can change your life" - Cinderella

I can honestly say that our little girl has her fair share of clothes and shoes. We actually may need a bigger closet before long. If you add in all the socks that look like shoes, she may have more then her Mom, if that is possible. I can't wait for her to be here to see how cute she is in all of her clothes, shoes and accessories.

What's in a Name?

"Do we have a name?" that is definitely the question we have heard most from family, friends and strangers over the past 5 months. Naming the precious person growing inside of you is a lot harder than one would think. Many questions arose...Family Name? Meaningful name? What sounds good with our last name? Will she like her name? Does it rhymn with anything that could potentially get made fun of? The list goes on and on. Although, Zach and I have been calling her this for months we wanted to be certain before sharing it with the world. Little AVERY will be welcomed into the Inman Party of Two in no time and will soon expand our Party to Three! We can not wait to hold her and squeeze her!

Awaiting Baby Inman

Well, the nursery is almost complete. I have to say that speaking for both of us, we absolutely love it! She is definitely a spoiled little princess in the making. Zach installed crown molding and with the help of my Dad, they also installed chair railing and wainscotting. What a transformation. I have to admit I was not much help...Zach is responsible for all the painting as well. I love just going into her room and admiring all of their hardwork! More pictures to come....

Took the Plunge

We have decided to create this blog to keep our family and friends posted on what is happening in the Inman Family. There are many exciting adventures to come....stay posted!
