8 Months Old!
Dear Avery,
It is hard to believe that you turned 8 months old on March 7th. Last year this time your Daddy and I were just told that you were going to be a girl. I remember the day like it were yesterday and the joy we both felt. You bring happiness to our lives each and every day. You have learned so much and are doing so many new things these days. Daddy is away for work and I can not wait until he returns so you can show him what all you can do. He is so proud of his little munchkin.
Here are a few of your new accomplishments:

She escaped!
I am not sure why I thought I would have all the time in the world to get things done while Zach was away but of course I was wrong. We are only 9 days away from him arriving home and my "list" still exists. One of the things I wanted to do before he returned was clean out our guest bedroom closet. For the past 3 years, it seems like this closet has been the resting place for random items that are not really needed and do not have a place in the house aka...JUNK! I insisted that this task get checked off, so, I decided to entertain Avery by putting a cowboy hat on her and sitting her in an empty box while I cleaned out the closet. I thought sit her in the empty box in the now empty closet and organize while she watched. Well needless to say this did not go as planned. It only took her about 5 seconds to realize she could escape and off she went and headed for the mess. Our little munchkin is so mobile now and curious about everything! All in all the closet finally was cleaned and organized. It is amazing how much crap you acquire over the years!

I love Jimmy Lee!
Now that Avery is crawling, she has been more into what Jimmy is about. She follows him everywhere but is never able to catch him. This was the first time Jimmy let her explore him and I was able to catch it on camera. She was so excited when she touched his paws! I have a feeling her and Jimmy are going to the best of friends!

Trying to figure out what to do....

Excited that he is still there

Yoga Baby
This morning Avery woke up before I was done getting ready for work which usually never happens. Our normal morning consists of me turning on her lamp for her to hopefully wake up on her own but usually when I come back in 10 to 15 minutes later she is still sleeping. Well, this morning she started moving around before I even had a chance to blow dry my hair. She is a great morning baby so I just let her play in her crib until I was done. Our hand held video monitor is the best purchase ever because we can take it anywhere in the house and still be able to see what she is doing. After a few minutes of her playing with her feet, she decided to sit up in bed and wait for me to rescue her. I watched her as I finished getting ready, sitting there patiently and then my last glance, she had leaned over and went back to sleep. I quickly ran in there so I could get a picture. There is no flash on the i-phone so I had to turn on her light to get a good picture. She thankfully stayed in her same position but opened her eyes. Check out our little yoga baby doing her morning stretches!
